Nate, you’ve really answered your own question. Needless to say I am actively working on replacing my dependence on LR and Adobe products. We would like to inform you that Lightroom 6 is only supported for Download and install on chat and any issue related to update you need to check it on as this issue is only supported on forums. After 30 days of waiting for a reply from Adobe after posting a request for help on their support portal, here is the response from them: Not only on my home computer but on my office machine as well. Recently I had issues attempting to update my LR to the latest version.
I think Lightroom perpetual license users should be prepared to be dumped by Adobe even though they told us they had no plans to institute a subscription only policy. Adobe has forgotten that they built a company on the backs of those of us who for years regularly updated our versions of Photoshop and LR. Please note that this only occurred intermittently on Mac.
